2nd Annual Noche Cultural
With the help of Dr. José Cuellar, the 2nd Annual
Noche Cultural at LEAP's education conference is Olympia was a big hit.
Dr. Cuellar, aka, Dr. Loco of Dr. Loco's Rockin' Jalapeño
Band, a nationally acclaimed musician and educator was, simply put,
himself. Meaning full of energy, wit, savvy, charisma, and, as always,
"hip." The students quickly get comfortable and, this year,
so did the parents.
It was a great evening of fun, humor and talent. Some
photo highlights.
Students, parents and participants were what the 2004
LEAP education conference was all about… all directed at improving academic
achievement of Latino/a students.
